We're a registered Charity
Cambridge Community House relies on grants and donations to offer the services we provide. We hold some contracts for service with government to enable some of our counselling services to be free of charge and some of our services are subsidised from our generous donors.
We are regularly externally audited by our government ministries, to ensure we meet the standards they require. Our financial accounts are audited annually and uploaded to Charities Services

“On behalf of me and my children, we are so grateful to you all and what Cambridge Community House has done for us, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.” - Anon
Frequently Asked Questions
How much should I donate?
You can donate any amount you like online right here, or by direct deposit to our bank account.
How will my donation be used?
We’ll use your money to help local people in Cambridge. It might help pay for counselling, food support, financial mentoring, a new school uniform or even some warm pyjamas. As a not-for-profit local charity we’ve learned how to make every dollar count.
Do I have to donate every month?
No, you can donate just once, we’ll still be very grateful.
Will you take donations in kind?
We accept clean tidy school uniforms and store cupboard kai (for emergency supplies). All other items can be directed to local charity shops who are experienced in this field. We will 'shout out' on Facebook if we have a specific need at any time.
How do I know you’ll spend my donation locally?
We only work within the Waipā district, concentrating on the needs of people in and around Cambridge. We’re a small charity here to support locals.
Can I specify how my donation is used?
Yes. Let us know how you’d like your money to be used and we will allocate it specifically for that purpose. Or you can leave us to spend it on the community’s most urgent needs.
